Columbia’s history will be recounted in Mount Bethel Cemetery celebration

The Opening Ceremony on April 20 for Mount Bethel Cemetery's Sesquicentennial will be held at Columbia United Methodist Church at 5th and Walnut Streets in Columbia.


Free activities for all ages — including stone resetting, tombstone rubbings and art stations with local artists — will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, with guided tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.


Perfect Settings, Second and Locust streets, will host "Fete en Noir," a celebration in black, from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 21. For tickets, call Jane Moore at 717-575-9760.
