On Saturday, firefighters from numerous departments fought the blaze for several hours.

Also on Saturday, a driver drove his vehicle into the town square during the garden tour, damaging a tree and uprooting three bollards in the process. Fortunately, no pedestrians were injured. The driver reportedly fled the scene but was later apprehended by police.

There were rare signs of life at the CenturyLink building on 20 North 2nd (currently operated by Brightspeed). It was being aired out the other day, for some reason.
