They are adding to the building or something to that extent.
But your comment is ignorant, they are a nonprofit with intentions to help those in columbia. If they did ask for more taxpayer money, it would be justified.
First of all, it was a serious question, so how was that ignorant? Second, if my tax dollars are being serenaded, I should have a say seeing it is a private business. Especially one I will not personally benefit from. So Don, thanks for your comment, now keep your effing hands out of my pockets.
NO! It would never be justified for the 401 Locust Street project to ask for ANY taxpayer money, never would that be justified. I feel our tax dollars are spread so thin right now and who could expect us to keep paying for more? This borough is bleeding us dry.
Probably that's the one who is building the Columbia's businesses and restaurants. No tax money should go for that. Where are all these people who were attending meetings?
This building, where the dental clinic is located, is owned by CHI. CHI will be building an addition to the building in the current parking lot. This new building will house a day care center. The escrow account, item 9c, is to ensure that anything affecting streets, sidewalks, erosion control and stormwater is done properly in the construction of the new structure.
Thanks Mary for clarifying the 9c line on the agenda. Why can't the Columbia Borough Council come to this forum to clarify the agenda items. If there is over 2,500 people watching this site, then they have around 30-40% of the registered voters wanting answers on their management of borough funds .
What is 9c about? Is CHI asking for taxpayer money for their 401 Locust Street project?

ReplyDeleteIf this building is built, they should not have it connected to the old building!!
DeleteThank you for the explanation
DeleteMary.

ReplyDeleteThe people need to come to the council meetings more often and let the council people know we are watching how they spend our money.
