  1. What is wrong with those council persons are they out of their minds. Where do the think people are getting all this money especially the senior citizens. Come on have a heart for the elderly people in this town.

  2. Has a certain member of council taken care of his outstanding tax leins? Why is this not brought up? If not I suggest no one pay their taxes! Why pay if an elected official believes he doesn't have to pay. Seriously, this increase is ridiculous. Absolutely no attempt to reduce costs. This increase could have been avoided with due diligence by council.

  4. I 100% agree with this. Or if the council persons have so much money let them help the senior citizens pay their taxes. The one gets away with not paying taxes so can we. How does he do i? And he is a big spender of our money.

  6. How about the people from out of town pay our taxes....... that’s who they are trying to get to come to town. They do not care about us who live here.
This town keeps getting worse and as soon as I am able I am out of here!

    1. I just moved my family to Columbia. I chose to move my business to Columbia last year. I am glad to be here and hope that those who have been here will be receptive to new faces and ideas, and that those who move in will honor the people who have lived in and built the town.

  7. I AGREE, stop paying our taxes and let the Boro go BANKRUPT and then there is no money for these CROOKS to spend on themselves and the Boro goes under. If these people had any PRIDE in this Boro they would not force the Senior Citizens out of their homes Cut all the OVERHEAD AND HIRE people who can manage the BORO. I'm selling my house and moving to a NEW LOCATION. GOOD BYE

Now that the council members are Bank Lenders, I say stop bitch en, not going to change anything, Norm should know, if anything Illegal going on he should know, Right. Unless you want the job on council to change stuff, shut up. I'm to stupid to do it or I would. VOTE

  9. My mom is retired and can barely afford the taxes already. She's going to have to make some tough decisions about cutting expenses or selling her home. At the very least, there should be some sort of consideration for age.

    1. Darn shame she had to make decisions about cutting expenses. This council should have made decisions about cutting expenses. It's easy to raise taxes...not so easy to make decisIons to cut expenses. This council took the easy way out.

  11. Again citizens need to pack the next council meeting and tell them we are fed up. All they do is spend I am surprised at a few who voted for the budget. Have a lay off in there and save us some money. I can hardly afford my taxes now.

  12. Most of the council personal do not even live in the borough so they do not care. People think this town is booming... no it is not. Companies are not even considering moving here due to the extremely outrageous taxes for business and homeowners. Get rid of the mayor and follow Lancaster city rules and regulations. (Just like getting rid of those who rent a 1 bedroom apartment and have 5 cars that just sit there for days from not working on government assistance. Must be nice to get handouts.

  15. It was very convenient that the recently passed Farm Bill , once again doesn't make able body recipients of welfare/food stamps do work, or try to get work. I can't wait to get on it. Drive a brand new SUV to the grocery store, watch TV all day long,
