Members sworn in for Columbia's new appeals board

Mayor Leo Lutz swore in members of the Columbia Borough Board of Review and Appeals at October's borough council meeting. Left to right, the members are Steve White, Margaret Nelson, Keith Kassees, Jeff Dale, and Curtis Rosche. The board will hear appeals from residents regarding property maintenance matters, including violations of existing borough ordinances.

I don't understand some of the commentors on this site. Like the person the other day that said the bank was closing because of the parking. They bank has a parking lot and a drive thru...

Others I think would complain at a free beer party. Jeeeezzzzooooo

    1. Judge Bixler must have told Columbia borough he can't hear all the problems that they made due to the codes people fining people for chipping paint etc, but they can't do much with others like the one museum , as long as you scrape a little , paint a little they won't do any thing, so it should be the same for the common citizen. So what will the board do? Will it be discrimination, or just go after the little guy, like they are doing Slective enforcement??

  6. I think it all comes to the borough manager to clean up the mess that council has made, Columbia is in need of work threw out town , just think of the man hours tied up at the money pit ,these could have been spent on the streets ,weeds , holes, etc. There are so many violations in this town that can be seen just driving around , what are the code guys doing , they drive buy #313 cherry street every time they go out and there is trash , furniture , there for over a year, EVERY ONE NEEDS TREATED EQUILY not just some. Does this new manager look around this town for any thing other than a pay check or to make the money pit grow to the point we can't afford it?
