  1. Has anybody considered the connection of the activity [or lack of] at Colonial Metals & the passing of David Serls [owner, chairman, & COO] on June 11, 2018? His estate could be the reason behind what is happening. RIP Mr Serls!

    1. The owner of a business the size and age of Colonial Metals does not pass away without a detailed plan in place for the manufacturing to continue.

    2. In most situations you would think your statement is true but the previous statement used the word "could". If there was not a last will and testament prepared [which many people refuse to have in place for different reasons] and he was the "only" owner, legal action would be required before activity could continue. I am not an attorney so this is just speculation.

  7. The residents in the south end of town need to understand that the focus or "vision" is on the trail and the northern part of town. With the exception of code violations, they are forgotten.

The trolley isn't running south of Cherry Street. The money, your money, is being spent to beautify the business district. Bringing business to Columbia will help you. You'll have to ask council how that works.

Now I'll be told to get out of town since I'm "negative", doesn't matter if it's true, we cannot say it out loud.

It is time to get it done.

    1. With $300,000 to lite the state road maybe it will lite a little part of walnut st so you can see the holes.

    2. The borough pushes the home owners around for paint , but they don't have balls to make millar or the gas company to fix there holes right. SLECTIVE ENFORCEMENT again they got this trait from Helm.

    3. Why doesn't a code person or a highway person go there at the end of every day to inspect the patches of the day to ok or no k them, they can do all the sneaky things they do to citizens , have balls and go after these guys , keep them in line, mayor pressure too , these people should work for us tax payers.
