1029 Lancaster Avenue
[Google Maps]
Fralu Realty LP is requesting special exceptions and/or variances to convert a residential use property at 1029 Lancaster Avenue into a religious counseling retreat, according to a legal notice published in Lancaster Newspapers today.
The notice (shown below) indicates the issue will be brought before the Zoning Hearing Board of Columbia Borough on March 28.
Records from the Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds show that the property is one of three transferred in 2011 from members of the Sahd family to Fralu Realty, whose address is 1045 Lancaster Avenue. The address is also that of Sahd Metal Recycling. Total assessment for the entire tract (land and building) at 1029 Lancaster Avenue is listed as $552,200. The 16.5 acre tract includes a residence and a junkyard.
Fralu Realty LP and Sahd Metal recycling share the same address.
The property is assessed at $552,200.
Fralu Realty LP is probably owned by the Sahd family, a way to protect their selves from the IRS. Then they charge the salvage company and any other entities rent. Tax shelters for the rich!
ReplyDeleteLOOK WHAT THE BOROUGH DOES WITH TAX PAYERS MONEY,THIS IS PRIVATE MONEY, GO FOR IT!
DeleteExactly!!!
DeleteWow! So this is all very interesting and becoming more clear NOW, why the house just west of this one was recently torn down.
ReplyDeleteShould have no problem getting what he wants. Especially since most of the Zoning board attends the same church as his family does.
ReplyDeleteHow does one have a "retreat" on 462 in Columbia Borough? Please tell me.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely ridiculous comments when there is a strip club not far from this spot! Really??? What do you care? Many business owners operate by forming other companies to offer rentals back to their own company. They pay taxes, they hire people, they donate to many charities and it is all legitimate. You don't have to have members on the council "go to the same church" to get something like this approved. We have club good times and you want to say how this "very interesting", how it is "clear NOW" ... really people! Just out right prejudice and ignorance. How can this be a retreat? Good grief!!!
DeleteOne can "retreat" anywhere! An act of pulling back or withdrawing, this can be done anytime you pull away from your normal routine. Seriously, educate yourself!
DeleteGo for it Ron, it is no different than the back door stuff that this council pulls. ( 208 -210) that cost tax payers 126,000 dollars plus.
Delete75,000 DOLLARS 4TH AND LOCOST LOT 40,000 DOLLAR FENCE ,3RD PART OF THE RIVER PARK,ALL TAX PAYERS MONEY,THE PEOPLE NEED TAX BREAKS NOT THE SH-- GOING ON UNDER LEO AND COMPANY.
Deletethe borough has to much tax money IT SHOWS TIME AFTER TIME.
DeleteWhat about Hotel Locost? PLANS? It will be at TAX payers expence!
DeleteHow many times does club good times make the paper for criminal acts?? Not much at all, the council commits more crime then good times!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the a/g needs to take a look.
DeleteDAILY
DeleteI wish I could claim my donations to Club Goodtimes on my taxes. I have to save as much as I can to live in this craphole. I don't know what I can't stand the most. The tenants or the idiots who have lived here for years and think they can just run their town.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe back scratching continues!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell are you even talking about??
DeleteRidiculous? That's my tax money that was spent to buy that car! Get an effin clue!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thank Frank for coming to these meetings and asking these questions.
This should be stopped!!!! NO MORE TAX for the whole property!! The land is contaminated BIG TIME!!! Its time to stop these rich people that don't want to pay their share of taxes!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSpoken like a true liberal progressive democrat!!!
Deleterun more jobs out of Columbia, they pushed kleen rite to mt joy!
DeleteWhat about anvil or what ever it's called now? Half of Columbia has the sand (toxic) on or around there property,do you want to run them out of town too?
DeleteWhy is some one always bringing up the fence at the.river its getting old.there is alot.more to worry about then a fence
ReplyDeleteOk WHERE IS THE 8 MILLION DOLLARS THEY GOT FROM LASA???? And if the fence is not a issue get your check book out and pay it up.
DeleteWAIT TILL IT GETS HIT LIKE THE LITE POLE AT THE RIVER PARK. (CAMERAS DIDN'T SHOW ANY THING)
DeleteComplaining about the fence might be getting old, but that's EXACTLY what the elected officials and others want you to do, move on, forget about it. That money is gone now. That's EXACTLY how this frivolous spending goes on and on. The taxpaying residents that should keep this in check simply don't give a shit. I can't believe that many people don't care how their own money is being used. How many weeks a year does an average borough resident work just to pay this town and school district? Are you really getting your money's worth?
ReplyDeleteSHUT DOWN THE FAILING SCHOOL, send the kids to a school that won't put up with the bulls--- , it will save money, get rid of DEAD wood, and back door deals to get people into over paid positions...
DeleteIs this a tax break for Sahd's, just asking?
