Columbia man convicted of beating 62-year-old man; Charged accomplice remains at large

A Columbia man has been convicted of the brutal beating of a 62-year-old man, according to the Lancaster County district attorney's office.

Shakim N. McIlwain, 23, was convicted recently of aggravated assault, conspiracy and other charges related to the Sept. 3 beating in the 600 block of Walnut Street, Columbia, according to the district attorney's office.
