School taxes could go up in 2017-18 in your area, but by how much?


Lancaster County school districts are facing tax-hike caps of 2.5 percent to 3.7 percent in 2017-18, according to the state Department of Education.

    2. Anyone with a computer can google email addresses for state representatives. Write to them and push for property tax elimination. Don't forget the political propaganda letter that ELANCO'S school board and administrative team gave out to parents and guardians in their district.

  4. If Elanco saved us $ 300,000 with Teck and Super, why a tax increase? Did the union ever settle their contract? still getting the best Insurance and other benefits while others pay the price? Maybe the teachers and Administration may need to realize Columbia isn't a School District that can afford high paying jobs, $65,000 to $80,000 for 180, 6 Hr days, $ 3500 a month retirement needs to change.

    Rob Peter to pay Paul, cutting groceries, entertainment, maintenance and needed repairs.
    Let's cut Welfare fraud!
