And as the internet has told us, snakes can't really do that.

At the old chip factory at Second and Locust
The old chip factory was sold!!
ReplyDeleteThat's correct. It was sold at auction on December 6, 2016.
DeleteThat's the ghost of liberty past!
ReplyDeleteExactly!!! Represents a time when immigrants entered our country legally and assimilated unlike today when it is acceptable to illegally enter our country and burden the taxpayer (which is a dying bread) to support them.
DeleteIs that tattered banner part of the new main street or streetscape that we are paying the consultant Ms. Denlinger for?
ReplyDeleteRegarding the urban blight that is Hotel Locust, turn the keys over to Don Murphy. I'm sure he can turn it into something productive. Unimaginable that it has been left to sit looking like it does. In the first three blocks of Locust Street we have buildings that are awful looking. As per the other comment here, what has happened to this main street program?
ReplyDeletegreat pics! not sure where this new code dept is in reference to the tattered banner, the tree in the avenue, etc. with ALL these new officers-one would think that they would take turns and WALK the downtown beat EVERY day looking for trash and rubbish, dog waste on sidewalks, properties definitely NOT up to code. guess someone forgot to pass this info on!
ReplyDeleteOne would have to be blind not to see these eyesores. Code department has been turning a blind eye to many things for years. It's who you're friends with that really counts in this borough.
DeleteGreat pics,,,,
ReplyDeleteBut Columbia's decline is still a reality.
We have all these people working in the code office and what are they doing I can walk around this town and and see all the things that need to be fixed why don't they see these things are they blind or don't they care things need to get better or soon know one will want to live in this town do your job that is what the people of this town are paying you to do
ReplyDeletebe cool to redo this sign and have a old time memory !
