50 tires slashed at Wagon Werks Tuesday night

50 tires on 20 vehicles were slashed in the parking lot of Wagon Werks Apartments, a source tells Columbia Spy. The incident occurred Tuesday night shortly after 10 p.m. Surveillance footage from cameras on one of the apartment buildings shows a man apparently leaving the building, then randomly vandalizing vehicle tires.

Submitted photos from the scene are shown below.

  1. Now I guess the Bawl Babies are gonna want the Police to sit in the Parking lot and watch for criminals who break the law.

    2. Apparently you never had to experience car trouble at the holidays and make a choice between buying kids gifts or fixing the car. Yes, some of us are really that poor. A flat tire can be a lot of money for some people.

    3. That are not "bawl babies" they ARE victims of crime. Shame on you.

    4. No one seriously expects anything will be done. Maybe since so many were involved the chances of follow up are better. When an individual has something stolen basically they have to accept it as the norm. I provided the name and location of a witness to a theft and the officer said they would contact the individual. I checked with that person at a later date and they were never contacted. I'd prefer being told that they will not follow up rather than being lied to and told they will.

  3. I had to miss my son's holiday program that day because of this. 2 of my tires were slashed. Have this happen to you and let's see how it affects your life. There is so much ignorance in this world. I didn't do anything to anybody to have that happen to me. And calling us bawl babies...really? Who are you? What makes you so special? I've been here for over a decade, minding my own business and raising my family. We may not have much, but it was earned. Uneducated people such as yourself should not comment on things of this matter unless you know the whole story. Am I crying about it? No, I'm not. It was meant to happen for a reason, I moved on. Yes I can't get tires until next week, but that doesn't stop my family and I from living. Grow up and may karma be your enemy when something like this happens to you. Then maybe you'll be a bawl baby and expect the cops to sit outside your house and protect what you worked hard for.

  4. Bawl Babies???
Your totally ridiculous by making that statement!
We need more police, Wagon Works should have had cameras. I experienced two punctured tires and a kicked in door not long ago. It was a HATE CRIME, your comment only shows how narrow minded and uncaring you are.
    God Bless you.
To the victims, keep your chin up, eyes open and anything suspicious call the Police.
    Merry Christmas

  5. Please everyone, don't let one knucklehead ruin all of your holidays. He/She had no business saying bawl baby or anything. None of you had even spoken yet. He/she obviously just needs attention. I am very sorry for the vandalism you have received and wish I could help with getting you new tires. I think it would also be great if someone stepped up and helped with some leads on the people that did this.

  6. It's a shame how the suburb is a bad place to live now. I had two tires slashed missing two days from work....
I'm a single person working hard to keep my place. And Its a shame I pay all this money to have my car slashed. It has been peoples taken license plates of cars Mirrors as been stolen from people's cars. It's sad all I can do is cry and I just read up top that nothing is being done. Wagon Works is a horrible place to live I won't recommend nobody to live here all they want is their money and they care less what happen to you.
