Arrest made in school assault

  1. I watched the video. Why is the girl that was assaulted being charged with disorderly conduct? What was she supposed to do? Lay down and get beat to a pulp? Enough! School is hard enough for young people who want an education; they should never have to spend their days at school in fear of physical harm. Can you imagine going to work everyday and having to be afraid of what a coworker might do to you. Imagine what these kids who just want to learn and graduate often have to go through during their day. Enough! This culture of violence (just like what happened outside "Venues" the other night) has to stop.

  2. Sorry "anonymous" but Mayor Lutz considers your comment not credible because you did not sign your name.

    1. What does the mayor this when big events go on on the person speaks as anonymous, and the major networks report it. Give me a break.

    2. That's ok. Many don't consider the mayor very credible, either.

  3. We cannot expect more from the kids when we tolerate the school board members bullying their peers.

    1. Some school board members are only dedicated to Strickler, and they are willing to tolerate his behavior.

  4. Is this a Junk Site, or a thorn in elected officials side?
Keep posting the facts and truth, I appreciate it.

    1. This is a truth site. Truth is often seen as junk by those that fear the truth. The American Revolution was started anonymously, by good people searching for fairness and the truth. Better check your history lessons Mr. Mayor

    2. When Leo doesn't like the message, he attacks the messenger. The message is Columbia is not perfect. The mayor needs to remove his rose-colored glasses and take a clear look at things.

    3. LOL, I like the thorn in the side comment!

  5. What I don't get is that there are people who send their kids to the public school and complain about it that can afford private school. If you can pay for cable, cell phones for each kid, $$$ sneakers, beat headsets then you can afford an alternative. Ridiculous! Don't sit around waiting for it to get better! It won't!

    1. Then ALL kids should go to private schools and END property taxes. End public education.

    2. Then the private schools will end up with the same problems the public schools have. The reason the private schools are perceived as better (not always the case) is that they get to kick out any less than ideal kids very easily - and the public schools get stuck with them. But when the supposed adults have no respect for the education system, the kids pick up on that and act the same.

  6. As for posting anonymously people do it here because there are bullies ALL OVER THIS TOWN!!! Grown up bullies and stalkers!!! No one wants to be their target. But like all things, what goes around comes around!!! Karma is real. So, bullies should take heed.

    1. You do not have to look very far to find bullies, some are seated on the board.

    2. I don't know about karma, but retaliation is real. Some grown-ups cannot deal with anyone that disagrees with them.

  7. If these thugs that are trying to ruin the education of those that want to learn, when they are arrested, send them upstate for a weekend to Camp Hill with real thugs. See how tough they are then. It may change their view.

  8. With all the criminal activity that is going on, maybe it is time to organise neighborhood watches. Get together with local and state police , and the county district attorney. It is time to put the thugs in their place, LCP and Camp Hill.
