  1. I'm very disappointed that our school board president, representing Columbia, showed up to this meeting in jeans, a polo shirt, and chewed gum the entire time. Thank you to the rest of the board for putting forth some effort in your dress.

    1. Is this the best we can do to represent Columbia? I think NOT! Put Kathy Hohenadel in as president where she rightfully belongs!!!

    2. I noticed that too, but no one should be denied a seat due to their dress. A suit would look professional of course, but the mayor shows up to some meetings in shorts, so...

    3. Could someone tell me what credentials Cole has that make him a fit for president of the school board?

  2. I see from Fox 43 report the usual Columbia hating suspects were at meeting, which wasn't packed. Gotta ask what good some of these people have done for our town lately? Nothing but cause trouble

    1. Didn't see, who are the "usual Columbia hating suspects"?

    2. If by the "usual" Columbia hating suspects, you mean those that have served and others still serving on council, school board, committees and other various volunteer positions. If by "usual" you are referring specifically to the Columbia Spy, then you would be wrong again. I volunteer and have made donations to Columbia non-profit. I also pick up litter in various locations of town. We also post the truth online, if the truth implies we hate Columbia, wrong again. We were born into this community and care about it enough to attend almost every meeting, we made four this week alone. Those that do not attend meetings and question where their tax money is going are the real haters. Complacency is bliss, keep paying taxes and keep your mouth shut. That way you won't be labeled a troublemaker.

    3. One man said that it was the largest attendance he had ever seen at a school board meeting. Get off the couch and attend you will see and hear more than a small camera shot.

    4. Questioning is NOT complaining. Those that do not ask questions and seek to find the truth are hurting those that do. Get off Facebook and attend a meeting. We have observed comments posted to Facebook sites while meetings are actually taking place. Instead of hanging out on these sites get to the meetings.

    5. Let's be clear, no town haters started this. It was someone's idea, someone on the board. Was it Strickler, was it Hollister, Ramsey? It was not borough residents. Blame the correct person or people for starting "trouble" as you call it.

    6. OMG Sharon you are totally AWESOME!
Put them in their place again!
We should get together and write a book.

  3. Lazy and just proved, not worth the $$$$$$$
Someone needed to pull the gum our of his mouth, put it on his nose and make him stand against the chalkboard.
He made statement of his own choice!
    PUT HIM OUT!

  4. I wonder if our school board president ever gets the feeling that he is BEING USED for another person's personal gain....Maybe he should be offered immunity for telling the truth about the backdoor deals.

  5. I understand Striclker has a relative at ELANCO, and I don't mean a Janitor. Told this by an employee at Columbia. Check it out if it's true, planed all along.

    2. This whole deal has set up all over. This mess got to end. It is getting out of control. Strickler and Hollister are probably laughing about this deal. Enjoy the laugh, the taxpayers aren't and are fed up.The state better step in and take control
