i agree. doesn't anyone have any common sense at all anymore??? 4th Friday is once a month, there's a band at the park again this month and food trucks o the 400 block of Locust St. seriously, i really hope you rethink this and start Monday instead.
Walking along that block was awful, dirt and dust blowing up from cars. I got away as fast as I could, albeit with dirt in my eyes. Work together. This could have waited until Monday. Yes, it was disruptive.
Contractors are extremely busy this time of year and the Borough is lucky to get them in here to fix the street. There is no good time for this and the Borough has to do it when the contractor is available.
Exactly, thank you for making the point. It made difficult the main activity you want to promote, WALKING through town! There are 31 days in the month and the decision is made to begin tearing up the main street that is used during the Fourth Friday event. Dust and dirt blown on pedestrians every time a car drove past. The powers that be all work in different directions based on personal agenda.
Why could not the borough wait till Monday. Even though the street will be open at night, with 4th Friday being the 22nd, I think they could hold off.
ReplyDeleteRight. It's a matter of cooperation, for the good of all.

Isn't 4th Friday supposed to be an evening thing? Sorry, but get a grip people. Your life is not going to be THAT disrupted.

DeleteReally? You're being serious?
DeleteUnreal.
It was stated that the street would be open at night. In most towns, the town government would take events in consideration.
