The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers to hand-stamp paper bags. The bags are part of a "Bags and Flags" project that was recently initiated. The stamp logo reads "River Towns: Columbia, Marietta and Wrightsville" with an image of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in the background.
24,000 bags need to be hand-stamped, prior to distribution to local businesses. Several stamps measuring about 9 x 9 inches will be used to apply ink to bags. The goal is to create a uniform look with all purchases.
Volunteers should meet at the old Columbia No.1 fire station (137 South Front Street) on Wednesday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.
Wish my schedule allowed me. I'm to busy working and protecting myself and home.
