Susquehanna named third most-endangered river in U.S. by environmental group


The Susquehanna River has been named the third most-endangered riverin the United States in an annual list by the environmental group American Rivers.

  2. For being endangered, the area in and around the river supports a wide variety of wildlife. Beautiful species of birds. Turtles, fish and don't forget the mayflies! Life is thriving off this sick river.

  3. yeah and the fish are both male and females, have lesions, flatheads are abundant and most likely kill off bass, sunnys etc. this river IS sick. DEP knows it.

  4. yes and its a real shame that DEP will not declare its SICK. it SHOULD be a PRIORITY.

  5. Do away with all island cottages and any that rest within 100 feet of the river bank that do not have public sewer.
