Columbia and Elanco school board consider a joint superintendent for next year


Columbia’s Acting Superintendent Kenneth Klawitter on Monday night proposed that the board share a district leader with Elanco in the 2016-17 school year.

  2. Maybe this could be the start of a county wide system like in Maryland.Just think if all the district's would buy supplies in bulk, the money that that could be saved. Just a thought.

    1. Actually, schools in the county do buy supplies in bulk through a cooperative agreement with the IU-13.

  3. get rid of ALL the assistants to the supervisors, principals, sports director, etc.

    1. This would probably increase the number of assistants. It's not like the superintendent can get quickly from one school district to another -- 45 minutes between the two.

  4. There are many states that have a countywide school system. One superintendent & one administrative office for all schools in there county. Eliminates the redundancy aka wasted spending.

  5. i agree this is all a waste of money. consolidate the schools. you are nOT doing any of our children any favors.
