Columbia and Elanco school board consider a joint superintendent for next year
Columbia’s Acting Superintendent Kenneth Klawitter on Monday night proposed that the board share a district leader with Elanco in the 2016-17 school year.
Maybe this could be the start of a county wide system like in Maryland.Just think if all the district's would buy supplies in bulk, the money that that could be saved. Just a thought.
This would probably increase the number of assistants. It's not like the superintendent can get quickly from one school district to another -- 45 minutes between the two.
There are many states that have a countywide school system. One superintendent & one administrative office for all schools in there county. Eliminates the redundancy aka wasted spending.
Sounds like a great idea

ReplyDeleteActually, schools in the county do buy supplies in bulk through a cooperative agreement with the IU-13.
Deleteget rid of ALL the assistants to the supervisors, principals, sports director, etc.
