Columbia Water Company adds new sign to its facility

With a newly installed sign above the entrance to its facility, the Columbia Water Company has once again shown that it has SPARED NO EXPENSE on renovations that ensure our water supply is safe, clean, and efficiently delivered. The sign is a final step in a major overhaul that began over a year ago and has included new equipment and building upgrades.

And to ensure that evening visitors can find their way, the sign will even be illuminated at night.

    1. Not exactly ... "The Columbia Water Company provides public water service to over 10,000 customers located in Lancaster and York Counties. Operating within a franchised territory that covers Columbia, Marietta, and Mountville Boroughs and portions of West Hempfield, Manor, East Donegal and Hellam Townships ... " according to the company's Website.

  3. I'd rather pay for the water company than the slumlord's bill for the property on Locust Street, yet it looks like we'll be paying for both.

  4. read the facts. customers in Columbia ONLY are paying the $8.50 per month for 20 years to pay for the upgrade! This is 100% TRUTH

    1. Thank you for what? Putting a sign up? We all know what that building is. If you don't, then you shouldn't be allowed near a river or train tracks.

  8. i strongly suggest that you do your research...go back to when this whole fiasco started and you will see it plain and clear that the COLUMBIA WATER CO CUSTOMERS ARE THE ONLY ONES PAYING FOR THE UPGRADE!

  9. This does seem to be over the top when you consider the project was funded by the users of the system.

    1. What's over the top about all copper spouting, that's a necessity. We all know that plain white, seamless spouting is unable to deflect water properly, it has to be made of copper.

  10. Certain upgrades, beyond basic functional items, should not be at customers expense. If the owners want the building to have expensive gates and copper trimmings, that is great, but they can foot the bill for those items. No water customer will be better served by copper spouting.

  11. Yeah thanks Mr Nickolas for moving to West Hempfield so you don't have to pay Columbia's taxes. Thanks for allowing all the buildings around your office on Locust St to be in disrepair. What are you thanking this guy for. This is a guy who has the means to make a difference in this town & does nothing.
