Columbia Historic Market House Trust documents:
Columbia Borough Ordinance No. 811 - 2011, signifying the Borough's intention to form the Trust can be found HERE.
The Borough of Columbia and Columbia Historic Market House Trust Management Agreement can be found HERE.
These documents were provided by the Trust.
It states in the ordinance Section 4 (d) that no board member shall hold an elected office. Then how can one member of the trust be running for borough council. Will they be going off the trust if elected?

DeleteYes..."Running for," and "Holding" are two separate things.
DeleteMmmm but is the move good for Columbia as a whole ,,,
ReplyDeleteOR another way to pick and choose special agendas, ,, ,
Back in 2007, presidential candidate Barak O'Bama paid a surprise visit to the market between events in Lancaster. The market seemed to be doing well at that time for Pres. O'Bama to stop in. What caused the change? Did someone fix something that wasn't broken? I definitely hope the market succeeds and returns to its former heyday. It's a Columbia icon.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he left bad Karma on the building. He certainly hasn't put our country in a better position. He will be leaving us in worse shape than when he started.
Delete"Did someone fix something that wasn't broken?" Brilliant.....I have to believe this is a true and correct statement as to what happened.
