Wright’s Ferry Mansionhas recently acquired a four-poster bed from the Queen Anne period that takes its place among the mansion’s already impressive collection of Queen Anne and William and Mary-era furnishings.
Great about this bed, but WHERE did the cool light go that was hanging over the front door of the Columbia/Reading Railroad building (on Bank Avenue) ? It added just the right finishing touch there and now it's gone. Anyone know where it went?
Well historic Ave J and bank Ave are famous for illegal activity. Which has been repeatedly stated by me self to the boro. Yet I found a needle and a spoon just this week by Rivertown antiques. Many people requested Ave J be closed to vehicula7r . .Why it's been 3 years and not a damn thing has been done? Call and I
It's a shame most residents don't realize this treasure, only costs 5 dollars to visit,,,,.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrill for the price.
Totally agree, I took the tour last year and it was really something to see.

ReplyDeleteI believe it is a maintenance issue.
ReplyDeleteWires are dangling, but they appear to be capped.
ReplyDeleteTwo windows (back of building, at the top, near roof) have plywood covering them.
