    1. I do believe she is being railroaded. Shame on the prosecutor, and shame on the corporate press organizations for not fulfilling their journalistic responsibility.

  2. It is just amazing to me that people want to turn this into something it is not. The facts are far from what is being reported by the corporate press with out a doubt. They make curry out to be a monster and that is so far from the truth. So far all that has been reported by the lancaster news paper is a pathetic attempt to make more news for them to report. If they were to report the truth at this point it would be a huge embarresment on their part for sure. Maybe they should dig a little deeper and save face while they can. This did not go down the way they said it did. Pathetic journalism at best. Feeding a fire in hopes it will cause more problems so they have something to report in the future. As it stands that paper is not worth laying on the floor for your dog to pee on. Shame on LNP. I would expect a higher standard from that paper....

    1. The corporate news reports were one-sided and in several cases featured sensationalistic headlines focusing on the racial aspects of the incident.

    2. In other words, the intent of the local press was to capitalize on America's recent racial tensions.

    3. no doubt you are so right about that. the race charge is total bull it does not even apply in this situation. just a bunch of nasty words between two people and for the record i can asure you the racial slurs were not started by curry. how much abuse should a person take before they react. it was mccowin that leaned in currys window and spit on her .maybe curry got pissed and mouthed off but who is gonna put up with that bullsh@t. the cops forgot to interveiw all the other witnesses . only talked to the ones that chatted with mccowin before they arrived on scene. the officer that charged curry was not even there either.

  3. what i want to know is how is it that all these cops were at the scene at least 20 of them and they still did not manage to secure the event and interveiw all the people hangin around.. cars drivin thru the crime scene and people just walkin around everywhere bystanders walkin right up to the "victems" and walkin away... this investigation was flawed from the get go...the police searched and photographed currys car but did not find smiths legal firearm under his seat untill smith made the officers aware himself for their safety...smith also having a valid CCP.. just sayin..

  4. Agreed, the media is using race in this case. Obviously, words were used that suggest racial tension. If someone spit on me, I'm certain that I would react in some way or another. That word can be heard blasting from car radios, but let someone call it out in anger and all heck breaks loose. Curry could have retreated, but so could McCowin. If she did not want the altercation to escalate she could simply have continued on to her dollar store destination. SHE seems to have been the one that decided to take it farther.

  5. not to sound like an ass but how is it it is acceptable to call someone white bitch, cracker, honky and so on . in my opinion spit and get spit on. there is alot more to this story like the reason mccowin started messin with curry in the first place, from what i understand curry was taking her friend home from an important DR. apt. the guy was sick as a dog and they were minding their buisness when mccowin came up on them like a bat out of hell. if there is a jury trial mccowins past will be an issue one way or another. cant get thru the front go thru the back.... assaulting police officers ? that wont play out well. let alone endless fabrications. some of her past convictions are based on her lying to the police and about the police. police brutality really ? and thats right why did she not go about her DG shopping spree anyway ?

    1. Good point and true!
You'd think the prosecutors and investigating officers would have picked up on those facts or that the news who did interviews with her would have known and at least questioned her about that. hmmmmmm.

    2. There was a remote control found at the seen along with a pair of sunglasses. Wonder who they belonged to? Also wonder if the police Dept. checked out tapes to the super market to see who was in the store and when they left with relation to this? Also what was the "manager doing outside at the very moment he claimed to be? I have to wonder if law enforcement asked or even considered.

  6. the way i see it it is not about knockin mccowin as much as giving curry the fair shake she deserves...when it comes down to a person sitting in jail because of someones lies then this must be done. if ya dont want your dirty laundry put out for all to see then mind your biz in the first place.

  7. McCowin was formerly Beaty not Glenn. She was married as Alicia Glenn in 1980 according to lancaster county courthouse marriage license records to a man named Henson, and also Richardson. Then in 1989 she was married to a Mr. Rosado, after that, in 1998 Alicia was married to Mr. Beaty yet in her last marriage application to Mr. McCowin she used the name Glenn. Guess she didn't want her new husband, the courts, law enforcement or anyone else for that matter knowing she was formerly Beaty before she became McCowin or as she states Glenn-Mccowin. So I find it interesting she has criminal charges under the name "Beaty" in 2009 and 2010 and was committed to the mental institution under that name yet for the Curry case states her name is Glenn-McCowin. How that is possible could it be another lie? Also if you search the county marriage license data base Glenn is not listed as her maiden name. Who was she before that? Alicia Loraine Glenn, Richardson, Henson, Rosado, Beaty, McCowin???

  8. A rush to judgement to say the least. Let's talk more about judgement shall we?
If you haven't not watched the videos posted on columbiapaonline facebook page I urge you to do so.
You can notice things removed from the scene itself and from the alleged victims. They could have been drugs that were taken from alleged victim and scene maybe even a weapon. I'd like to know how 4 responding police agencies couldn't even retrieve the 64 still shots and 2 videos from the scene? It is my understanding a good citizen brought those forward.
I suspect and in my opinion any evidence such as the video of the shooting itself that was posted on youtube and quickly removed would have shown the "truth" and there fore wouldn't support the charges at all. It is possible for any prosecutor or Defense Attorney file a special type of subpoena when dealing with companies like youtube or even as example verizon to collect evidence pertaining to an alleged crime especially a shooting. A few questions then remain. The county is able to do so but can they afford and are they willing to do so?
Curry needs to get an expert witness not only on fire arms and self defense but also a medical expert in the interest of justice so she can attempt even with all the slander from the news to have a fair trial. The question remains can the county afford and are they willing to pay for them? Perhaps we could ask Joshua Price?

  9. Ethnic intimidation in short is when a person targets another person and takes actions against that person because of race. I find it disturbing that a prosecutor would make this random tragic incident about race. Ms. Glenn-Mccowin by her own admission was behind Curry and followed her into the plaza, next she approached Curry at her vehicle. Curry had to respond to Glenn-McCowin and Curry was assaulted in the process. Also Roland and Manfred the other 2 alleged victims came rushing Curry. So how is it right to charge Curry with "ethnic intimidation" when she was targeted and pursued by these women?
What if it happened to you?
