Priorities, priorities!

In the sleepy little borough of Columbia, Muriel Bagge and Courage doze, making nary a sound, save for Muriel's soft snoring, as the local news spews forth from the TV.  The borough's ills affect them not!

Until something earthshaking jolts Muriel fully awake: NUDE DANCING! The mere mention shocks her into the realization that the end of the world is near, very near!

And it takes Courage to summarize the situation . . .

  1. It is funny or not really how people do not show up at meetings to object being taxed out of house and home yet nude dancing draws them like flies.

  4. I think our elected officials have alot more things to worry about and spend there time on then if these girls have there thongs on. Just one example of wrong priorities in this forever getting worse town. Might not be the best business but at least it is a long time Columbia business. Had to laugh when mayor said this type of place isn't needed in his up and coming downtown. What a joke.

  5. Up and coming downtown? More like down and leaving. I don't see many businesses staying in business very long around this town. I do see the businesses that are trying and the individuals that are busting their butts to make a difference not being supported or down right being black balled out of town. I'd like to see the mayor put some of his own personal funds into building the downtown area like the folks have done on their own and now have nothing to show for it.

  6. don't use excuses for not attending mtgs....do u think it doesn't bother others that they don't get the truth?? then you need to say that..eventually, maybe they'll get it.
i agree about downtown, said before, will say again they should have some incentives to new business coming into the downtown and trying to keep them....parking is a HUGE issue....
it's such a shame that this small boro has like hundreds more rental properties than it should. majority don't have their own parking either.
