Central PA road crews patch potholes

With sun shining and temperatures in the mid-thirties, balmy conditions after the last few days, PennDOT trucks were still working along US Route 30 outside Columbia Borough in Lancaster County on Saturday.
Instead of filling their plows with snow, they were filling potholes with gravel.

this frigid cold and snow and ice has done damage to a lot of roads...check out both sets of RR tracks at Grinnell (now Anvil). they have risen, opened up many many potholes and craters that run the length of the tracks....you just about have to stop before going over them....
