Rally at Borough Office

A rally was held on Monday, October 22nd, at 5 p.m. in front of the Borough Office, 308 Locust Street, in support of Carmen Swinehart and Keagy's Produce and to protest the actions of the Market House Trust.

Carmen Swinehart was fired from her position as Market House manager several months ago amid controversy, and Keagy's Produce was recently evicted, allegedly without just cause and in a discriminatory manner.

Rally participants then attended the Committee of the Whole meeting at the Borough Office at 6 p.m., at which time the Columbia Borough Council voted to disband the Columbia Historic Market House Trust.
